National Broadband Plan
IN A NUTSHELL
- The National Broadband Plan (NBP) aims to ensure that every home, farm and business in Ireland – regardless of how remote or rural – has access to high-speed broadband.
- And we, National Broadband Ireland (NBI) are laying all the fibre broadband cables that will give you this high-speed internet connection.
- However, to connect to this fibre broadband, you need to sign up to a broadband service provider (Over 60 to choose from) and they will sell you this service.
- So far, we’ve laid over 100,000km of fibre broadband cable, but we still have thousands more to go. So if your area isn’t ready for connection yet, don’t worry, you can sign up to be informed when it is, or if it will be included in the rollout.
